Outcomes

Programme and Study Plan

Selected students will attend the first two years of the course at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and, after achieving the 132 ECTS envisaged in the study plan for the first two years of the programme, they will spend two mobility years at the Partner Institution, for their 3rd and 4th year of enrolment.

The study plan for Ca' Foscari students is published below:

Important: selected students may not take more exams than those indicated in the plan, prior to departure, unless they are supernumerary (i.e. outside the study plan).

For more information about the study plan, students can contact the Educational Programmes Office of the Department: didattica.fbc@unive.it.

Tuition fees and mobility grant

Starting with the cohort of students departing in the academic year 2025/2026, for the two years of mobility, students participating in the programme will be required to pay tuition fees at the Partner University and only the regional tax for the right to education at Ca' Foscari.
Information regarding the fees to be paid at UCG is published annually at the webpage “Tuition and Study Costs”.

For both years of mobility, selected students will benefit from a mobility grant with a variable amount, as provided for in the DJD Call for applications.

Mobility procedures

Before departing for the mobility, selected students will be required to:

  • complete the registration/application procedure at the receiving institution according to the methods and within the deadlines set by the Partner University;
  • sign the grant agreement that regulates the disbursement of the mobility grant for the first mobility year;
  • fill out the Learning Agreement for the first mobility year, listing all the educational activities to be carried out at the Partner University and identifying the equivalences with the courses included in the Ca' Foscari study plan, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University.

Further information will be provided by the Welcome Unit (International Office) upon completion of the selection process and after formal acceptance of the offer.

After reaching the destination, students will have to get the confirmation of arrival form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual start date of the mobility period (orientation/welcome activities or educational activities).
If the students intend to make changes to the study plan agreed upon before departure, it is possible to complete a Learning Agreement variation form, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University.

At the end of the first mobility year, even if they will stay in Groningen for an additional year, students will have to get the confirmation of departure form signed by the Partner University, to certify the end date of the first mobility year.

For the second year of mobility students will be required to:

  • sign the grant agreement for the second mobility year;
  • fill out the Learning Agreement for the second mobility year, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University;
  • get the confirmation of arrival form by the Partner University, in order to certify the start date of the educational activities of the second year;
  • get the confirmation of departure form by the Partner University, to certify the end date of the educational activities of the second year.

As soon as available, students must send to the Welcome Unit (International Office) the Transcript of records issued by the Host University, i.e. the certificate listing all the exams they passed during the mobility abroad.
The exams reported in the Transcript of records must correspond to those agreed upon in the Learning Agreements approved for the two mobility years and any subsequent variation forms.

Graduation

Students will complete the programme graduating at the Host University according to the deadlines and procedures established by the Partner institution.

Once the degree has been obtained, students must inform the Welcome Unit (International Office) by sending:

  • Bachelor’s degree final diploma or graduation certificate;
  • complete transcript of records;

issued by the Partner University. Moreover, they will also be required to communicate:

  • the exact date of graduation;
  • the name of the thesis supervisor and possible co-supervisor(s).

The Welcome Unit will start the procedure for the recognition of all the credits obtained abroad, including the graduation. Once the recognition is completed, the Ca' Foscari student profile will be closed from the back office without the need to formally submit a graduation request.

Important The credit recognition procedure will take place at the end of both years of mobility, except in exceptional cases and for specific documented needs.

Starting from 2021/2022 a.y., a bonus point will be added to the final exam grade for students who obtained at least 12 ECTS abroad during a double degree mobility.

Students who enrolled in a double or joint degree programme before 2021/22 a.y. will not receive bonuses for activities or internships carried out abroad. However, they will have the right to receive the "speed" bonus. More information is available here: Characteristics and assessment of final exam.
