The service “Substance Use and Addiction: Preventive Counselling” launches at Ca’ Foscari, in collaboration with ULSS 3 and open to all Venetian universities

Promoting the psychophysical well-being of the university community also means addressing the issue of addiction with responsibility and competence. It is with this purpose in mind that the new" Substance Use and Addiction: Preventive Counselling" was created at Ca' Foscari: the service offers support, active listening and expert advice  on drugs and other addictive behaviours. The project is the result of the collaboration between the University and the Addiction Department of Azienda ULSS 3 Serenissima, and is aimed at students from all Venetian universities, faculty and staff.

The free-access service will open on 28 April 2025 in presence and online to welcome both those who are in a moment of difficulty and those who are looking for tools to help friends through individual meetings or, on request, group meetings.

Why turn to us?

You don’t need to have “a problem”, sometimes a question is enough.  The new service “Substance Use and Addiction: Preventive Counselling” is a free, confidential and welcoming space where you can talk openly about doubts, experiences or concerns related to the use of substances, alcohol and other risk behaviour. Qualified staff from ULSS 3 Serenissima will help you better understand your habits, provide you with guidance towards professional services or simply give you useful information, also to support friends in need. Counselling is anonymous, without judgement and designed to help you make informed choices for your well-being.
