The ECTS should preferably be chosen 1) among the exams proposed by the study plan which have not been selected in the previous rules; 2) among the exams listed below; 3) among the exams of the other curricula of the Master’s Degree. The Teaching Committee will verify whether the elective ECTS chosen by the student are coherent with the objectives of the programme. Coherence refers to the each student’s individual study plan; therefore, the most important element which will be taken into consideration is the reason given by the student supporting his choice. The study plan will not be approved if serious inconsistencies are present in it.

Students with adequate knowledge and skills in the Italian language will have the opportunity to choose one of the following activities: EM2Q19 ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE; EM2Q27 SPANISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE; EM2Q15 FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE; EM2Q16 GERMAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. Contents, schedules and details regarding the final exam are mentioned on the syllabus of each course. Students who do not possess adequate knowledge and skills in the Italian language, as well as students enrolled in the joint degree programme, must choose: EM2Q17 ITALIAN AS FOREIGN LANGUAGE. Each semester, the Department of Economics organises a 2 ECTS credits introductory course to the Italian language and culture in collaboration with Ca’ Foscari School for International Education. The activity is completed when students attend and pass all the requirements of two courses (for a total amount of 4 ECTS credits) during their academic career. Students must make contact with the Educational Programmes Office of the Department of Economics qem-venice@unive.it no later than September 22nd, 2024 in order to register for the I semester course. They will contact qem-venice@unive.it no later than January 12th, 2025 in order to register for the II semester course.
