The Sustainable Development Festival

The Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development ( ASviS – Allenaza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile) with more than 180 organizations and civil society networks will promote the third edition of the Sustainable Development Festival. This Festival is a national initiative of awareness and cultural and political development aimed to enhance knowledge about the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals subscribed by the UN Nations on September 2015. The Sustainable Development Festival is the main Italian contribution to the European week of sustainable development (Esdw).

From 21 May to 6 June all around Italy several events and initiatives will raise awareness both on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and on more general topics related to the 2030 Agenda. The Festival fulfil the increasing need to raise awareness on environmental, social and economic sustainability among groups ever wider of population. In doing so, not only experts but everyone will be able to promote a significant cultural change and develop new individual and common behaviours. Moreover, the Festival wants to give voice to citizens, enterprises, local administrations and to the entire civil society in order to support and encourage the sharing of the best practices inspired by the 2030 Agenda topics.

Finally, thanks to the collaboration with the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS) this third edition of the Festival will be enriched by many experts contribution as well as by the participation of several Italian university students.
