Graduation Day in St Mark’s Square: next ceremonies on 4 May

The next Graduation Day in Piazza San Marco (St Mark’s Square) will take place on Wednesday 4 May 2022. Two sessions will be held to celebrate the graduation of 805 Ca’ Foscari students in the extraordinary session for a.y. 2020/2021.  

Graduates can be accompanied by two guests who will be given a place to sit in the area reserved for graduates and their guests. 

Graduates must book their ticket, wear a surgical face mask, show their e-ticket, an ID document and a valid Covid-19 “Green Pass” certificate. 

Graduates can book their ticket from Friday 8 April until Wednesday 20 April at 12 pm.  

Each graduate can choose, subject to availability, which ceremony to attend between the two available on 4 May.

• 11.15 Greetings from the best student of the session

• 11.20 Awarding of diplomas and announcement of graduates

• 12.00 Approximate end time of the ceremony

Wednesday 4 May 2022, 16.00 p.m. 

• 16.00 Saluto della Rettrice Tiziana Lippiello, saluto delle autorità

• 16.15 Greetings from the best student of the session  

• 16.20 Awarding of diplomas and announcement of graduates

• 17.00 Approximate end time of the ceremony

The situation may change depending on the measures that will be divulged by the Italian government after 1 May. Please check the Graduation Day page for further updates.

Graduates from the additional extraordinary session (“extraordinary session bis”) and the summer session will participate in a Graduation Day in St Mark’s Square after the summer holidays. The date will be announced at least a month before the event in order to allow graduates to make the necessary arrangements.
