Graduation day in Saint Mark Square with Igiaba Scego

On Friday November 24th 2017 from 2.30pm the Graduation Day will celebrate 1,124 new “Dottori” from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, graduating from Bachelor’s degrees in Venice and Treviso.

Writer Igiaba Scego will welcome the new “Dottori”. Born in Rome to Somali parents who came to Rome fleeing Siad Barre’s regime, Scego collaborates with many newspapers and is a fellow at the Center for the Humanities and Social Change. Her most recent publications include Roma Negata (2014) with photographer Rino Bianchi, Adua (2015), Prestami le ali, Storia di Clara la rinoceronte (2017).
