300 new incoming students at Ca' Foscari

The Welcome Unit of the International Relations Office will welcome about 300 new exchange students for the second semester of a.y. 2017/18.

Ca' Foscari students for the EU-China tourism year

2018 will be the EU-China tourism year, an initiative promoted by the European Commission to promote different touristic destinations, to develop the European offer and to facilitate Chinese investments in the EU, beginning at the Doge's Palace with the support of 11 Ca' Foscari students.

Bonaventura Ruperti, professor of Japanese language and literature at Ca’ Foscari, received the award for the “promotion of Japanese culture in Italy” given by the Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs, Gaimu Daijin Hyōshō.

Substantial funding by the Italian ministry of education and research to 5 departments

Research at Ca’ Foscari has hit an important milestone: out of the seven departments competing for the substantial funding offered by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research five have obtained it for a total funding of EUR 35 million for 5 years as well as additional EUR 13,5 million for the university.

Prof. Marco Ceresa, director of the Italian section of the Confucius Institute at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, received the Confucius Institute Individual Performance Excellence Award in the twelfth global Conference of the Confucius Institutes in Xi'An on December 12th.

8th edition of the Santas’ Regatta on Sunday December 17th

Ca' Foscari 1868-2018: the initiatives for the 150th anniversary

Ca' Foscari presented the programme of its initiatives for the 150th anniversary of its establishment and created a website to share its story which will be officially launched on February 20th 2018 with the inauguration of the academic year.

Funds doubled for international research in 2017

Ca’ Foscari doubled the funds for projects financed in competitive international calls. In 2017 there were 11.3 million euros in funding - compared with 4.8 millions the previous year.

Iraq Museum, Ca' Foscari presents the many faces of the “Lady of Warka”
