Holiday closure 24/12 - 8/1. From 3/1 CFZ and BEC open, offices open online

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice will be closed from 24 December 2022 through 8 January 2023. CFZ and BEC will reopen on 3 January. Administration offices will reopen on 3 January only online.

EUTOPIA awarded 8 ERC Starting Grants

Prestigious ERC grants have been awarded to the University of Warwick (three grants), Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (two grants), and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Babeș-Bolyai University and the University of Gothenburg (one grant each). This excellent result attests to the value of the alliance and of university policies.

PINK joins European Community of Practice on Intellectual Assets Management

PInK, Ca’ Foscari’s portal dedicated to technology and knowledge transfer between University research and businesses, institutions and the local territory, has participated in the writing of the new European Code of Practice for the smart use of intellectual property.

EUTOPIA Week 2022 in Ljubljana: Tiziana Lippiello is the new President

The Rector of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice Tiziana Lippiello is the new President of EUTOPIA. In December 2022 she will succeed Eva Wiberg, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Gothenburg, who has guided the alliance thus far. The new President will lead the alliance for the next two years.

University closed on 8 and 9 December

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, including the Treviso Campus, will be closed on Thursday 8 December and Friday 9 December 2022.

University closed on 31 October and 1 November 2022

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice will be closed on Monday 31 October and on Tuesday 1 November (All Saints’ Day). University libraries will remain closed, except for BAUM (the Arts and Humanities Library) which will be open from 9:00 to 21:00 on both days. Regular opening times will resume from Wednesday 2 November. 

QS Sustainability 2023: Ca’ Foscari 81st Sustainable Institution worldwide

QS Sustainability 2023 is a new ranking that monitors and evaluates what universities do, and the extent of their action, in the field of sustainability. Ca’ Foscari has achieved an excellent result in the “Sustainable Institutions” field, ranking 81st worldwide and 2nd in Italy.

Iran: Ca' Foscari endorses CRUI Statement

Ca' Foscari, as an active member of CRUI, endorses the SAR Italy Statement on the situation of students and scholars in Iran. Together with the international academic community, the Italian section of Scholars at Risk (SAR Italy) is deeply concerned by the current violations of the human rights of students and staff at Iranian universities, higher education institutions and secondary schools.
