Since July 2023, I am a climate policy officer at the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission and adjunct professor at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. 

Before joining JRC, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, where I was recipient of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (2020 - 2023). Between 2018 and 2020, I was post-doc in the ERC project's team of Prof. De Cian at the Department of Economics at Ca’ Foscari University. 

My main research focus is the analysis of climate change and low-carbon energy policies and their linkages with sustainable development. I have experience in the field of EU climate policy, EU ETS and UNFCCC negotiations. 

In 2016-2017 I was a Giorgio Ruffolo Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University. In the period 2010 – 2017 I collaborated with Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), within the team of the International Center for Climate Governance, and with the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC).

I hold a Ph.D. in Science and Management of Climate Change from the Department of Economics at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, a Postgraduate Advanced Master in Global Environmental Protection and International Policies from Tuscia University and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Bologna.
