In the framework of the Conference, Prof. Daniele Brombal will introduce the outcomes of a trans-disciplinary retreat held in Cansiglio Forest in Autumn 2022, titled “A Transformative Impact Assessment Module (TIAM) for Biological and Cultural Diversity in Territories of Life.” This Transformative Impact Assessment Module (TIAM) incorporates process-oriented components, and measurement-oriented criteria, covering aspects such as ethics, emotions, aesthetics, and different ways of knowing. The presentation will be held on June 24, 2023.

The panel has been built on the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP, 2026), to support pastoralist communities and rangelands conservation. At another event. Ali Razmkhah, will facilitate a roundtable on “The territories of life; past, present, and the future" on June 21, 2023.

This round table event aims to bring together Indigenous Peoples’ and Custodian Communities’ representatives to discuss the status of territories of life, threats, strategies for national and international coordination, and how might this coordination be strengthened in a world driven by capitalist accumulation and the perpetual threat of enclosure.
