Heritage in the cognitive age

VeDPH Lab (2B06), Palazzo Malcanton Marcorà (2nd Floor) and online

Elisa Corrò, Nevio Danelon, Federico Bochetti

Abstract

In the era of cognitive advancements, this study explores the intersection of neurohumanities, cutting-edge technology, and collaborative efforts with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to promote and enhance cultural awareness. Embracing innovative methodologies such as 3D scanning, Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI), 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and neurohumanistic approaches (utilizing brain sensors, eye-tracking, and Visual Thinking Strategies), the research aims to elevate the appreciation and valorization of cultural and archaeological heritage. By leveraging these technologies, the study envisions a comprehensive approach to understanding and preserving cultural legacies, fostering a deeper connection between heritage and contemporary society.
