About

The Center for Comparative International Studies in Venice (CIS) is a departmental research center founded in May 2016.

Its purpose is the promotion of research in Comparative International Studies in all disciplinary areas related to the relationship between languages, cultures and international politics.

The Center promotes and ensures the free aggregation and organization of research in the field of international studies, with emphasis on the comparative approach to the study of politics and international relations

Research

The Center for Comparative International Studies in Venice develops scientific collaborations with national and international institutes in the various fields of comparative international studies; promotes training in the various fields of comparative international studies, supporting teaching and in particular the Master’s Degree in Comparative International Relations; carries out consultancy and research activities related to comparative international studies for the benefit of organizations and institutions; and promotes the dissemination of research through publications, conferences, seminars and exhibitions.
