The call will be open until May 13, 2022 at 1 p.m. Applicants can choose among 14 PhD programmes, with 83 scholarships being offered by the university thanks to competitive funding and partnerships with other institutions, research centres and projects.

All of Ca’ Foscari’s PhD programmes have an international outreach due to their scientific import, the interdisciplinarity of their research, and their openness to other Italian and international universities.

According to Professor Patrick Heinrich, Delegate for PhDs, “This openness is, on the one hand, among subjects, departments, universities and countries. On the other hand, it is between the university and the non-academic world, thanks to collaborative PhDs. The initiatives funded by the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the PhD reform further promote this type of collaboration with companies, which can fund PhD scholarships on topics that are crucial to innovation. There is openness to the future of PhDs and there is no turning back.”
