Research and Infrastructure for the Environmental Biorefinery : INRAE, LBE and Bio2E contribution.

Abstract:
INRAE is the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment. In this Seminar dr. Audrey Battimelli will present the research and infrastructure for the Environmental Biorefinery of INRAE with a specific focus on the Laboratory of Environmental Biotechnology (LBE, located in Narbonne) and the Bio2E, Environmental Biotechnology and Biorefinery Platform.

Bio Sketch:
Audrey Battimelli is senior research engineer from LBE INRAE, specialised in the application of physico-chemical pretreatments (ozonation, thermochemical, ultrasound, coagulation-flocculation) for improving biological treatments. Research is conducted on various biorefractory and slowly biodegradable substrates such as waste activated sludge, slaughterhouse wastes and molasses wastewaters in collaborative work with professionals.
She is also leader of Bio2E Research Infrastructure (Environmental Biotechnology and Biorefinery) recognized at National and European levels in environmental technology development and innovation.
