Trust dynamics in financial advisory: an empirical analysis

Aula Volpato Dipartimento di Management, San Giobbe

The seminar is held by Caterina Cruciani, PhD, Post doc, Financial markets and institutions, Center for Experimental Research in Management and Economics (CERME)

Abstract: At the basis of the relationship between financial advisors and clients, trust remains a construct that scholars and practitioners are still unable to describe with a single measure. Looking at a large dataset of professional financial advisors belonging to three different organizational structures (a group of cooperative banks, the national associations of financial advisors and advisors from the Poste Italiane group- the National Mail service) this research article tries to shed more light on the trust formation process underlying the advisor-client relationship and to determine which are its determinants across a large number of variables, including personal, professional and relational attributes of the relationship.
