The world calls it as Indian Music and India acclaims it as Sañgīta.  From its roots found in the Vēda, the four-fold knowledge source that seeks to enrich the sensitivity of the self in its intellectuality and emotion, this Sañgīta is embodied in the melody called ‘Nāda’, has enthralled the audiences in our worlds.  
We now present before you a unique music concert which will harmoniously bring you into the soul of this Sañgīta. This concert is stylized in the world famous Karnāṭaka Sañgīta, which is one of the two forms of music of India. 
The concert will feature a stalwart of musician and scholar from South India, Sañgīta virtuoso Dr. R. S. Nandakumar.  He belongs to the highly acclaimed family of traditional musicians whose accomplishments are well noted internationally. While Nandakumār’s rich - rangy - captivating voice mesmerizes the avid lover of music, his virtuosity will enthrall the thinking mood of his audiences.  In Sañgīta, such a voice is known as divya vīna, the natural instrument of music created by the divinity. 
Instrumental accompaniment on The Vīṇa is featured by famous musician and composer of South India, Mr. Praśānth Iyyeñgār.  Praśānth’s fascinating playing technique and his devoted endeavors will endear you into this music’s soul. He holds the Limca Book of World Records in playing on his vīna for continuous 25 hours. This Vīna is also known as mānuśī vīna, the instrument crafted by the man to assist and actualize the divya vīna.
Cantos from the Vēda will be chanted by Mr. Narasimha Mūrthy who is an accomplished and practicing Brāhmaṇa from India who has flawlessly performed to its perfection, more than 1000 Yagñyas.
